Child Development During the Pandemic: Part 1

What are our students going through developmentally ? How can we use this knowledge to help them learn despite the school year transitions and interruptions?

With the challenge of pandemic learning environments, we thought it would be helpful to do a short childhood development refresher for what students in grades 1 through 6 are typically needing and what we can do to support them. We are grateful to the wonderful Deborah Vilas, child development expert and instructor at the Bank Street College of Education, for sharing her words of wisdom with us.  As Deb says in this video, “Teachers, you’ve got this.”
