What are our students going through developmentally? How can we use that to help them learn during these days of hybrid/in-person/virtual learning?
With the challenge of pandemic learning environments, we thought it would be helpful to do a short childhood development refresher for what students in grades 1 through 6 are typically needing and what we can do to support them. We are grateful to the wonderful Deborah Vilas, child development expert and instructor at the Bank Street College of Education, to share her words of wisdom with us.
